Our first session, with Professor Li of Tsinghua's School of Economics and Management. Ninety minutes on China's economic trajectory since Reform and Opening Up, grounded in specifics like a small village factory founded in 1975 that grew into the world's largest steel producer. His core takeaway: China's growth is a return to the norm after reentry to the world market, the opposite of a miracle.
